Neck pain treatment & Osteopathy in Southwest London
Helping you move your neck freely again, without wincing or waking up stiff

The neck carries the weight of your head through thousands of small movements a day, so when something’s not right, it makes itself known constantly: turning to reverse the car, glancing over your shoulder, even just getting comfortable enough to fall asleep. It’s not usually one dramatic incident, more a gradual tightening that starts to limit how freely you move.
Most neck pain responds well to the right assessment and treatment, and doesn’t require you to just live with reduced movement.

We regularly assess and treat conditions including:

  • Trapped Nerve in the Neck
  • Whiplash Injury
  • Cervical Disc Bulge
  • Cervical Facet Joint Pain
  • Neck Pain Causing Headaches

Your first session focuses on understanding how your neck moves, what’s provoking your symptoms, and whether anything is travelling into the shoulder or arm, so we can build a plan around your specific presentation.

Understanding neck pain.

The neck supports the weight of the head and allows a wide range of movement, which is exactly why it can be vulnerable to strain, particularly with sustained positions or repetitive demands.
Symptoms often develop gradually, especially in those linked to desk work posture or prolonged sitting. In some cases, irritation of the discs or joints can cause symptoms to travel, leading to neck pain radiating into the shoulder or arm, or signs of cervical radiculopathy.
For some, it’s most noticeable first thing in the morning; for others, it’s a specific movement like turning to check a blind spot that catches it.
Terms like “slipped disc” or “wear and tear” can sound alarming, but they’re common findings, and not always the direct cause of your symptoms. A thorough assessment helps us identify what’s going on.

How we help.

Pinpoint what’s straining your neck

We begin with a detailed consultation and movement assessment, looking at contributing factors such as joint irritation, muscle tension, and postural strain including how far and how freely you can turn or tilt your head.
Where symptoms travel into the arm, we assess for nerve-related presentations such as cervical radiculopathy.
By the end of your first visit, you’ll understand exactly what’s driving your symptoms and what we’re doing to address it.

Ease the irritation and restore movement

Treatment is tailored to you, reducing irritation, improving mobility and restoring movement through a combination of joint mobilisation, soft tissue work, and targeted techniques guided by your assessment findings.
We’re working towards a neck that moves freely under load, not just one that feels fine at rest.

Build a neck that copes with daily demands

Lasting recovery involves more than easing tight muscles. We work with you on strength progression, load tolerance, and practical postural adjustments to reduce the risk of recurrence, especially if you’ve experienced chronic neck pain or repeated flare-ups linked to neck pain from desk work.

When should you seek help?

  • Episodes keep returning
